BBC Studios Productions Australia and Red Planet Pictures have begun filming on the second season of Return to Paradise for the BBC and ABC Australia.
Season two of the Death in Paradise spin-off sees the return of Anna Samson (Dead Lucky, Wake in Fright) as Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke, who is longing to get back to the U.K. For now, she remains stuck in Dolphin Cove, diving into local investigations and dodging her ex-fiancé’s upcoming wedding.
Other returning cast members include Lloyd Griffith (Ted Lasso, Nolly), Tai Hara (Home & Away, Colin From Accounts), Catherine McClements (Total Control, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries), Celia Ireland (Wentworth, Total Control), Andrea Demetriades (Mother and Son, The Artful Dodger) and Aaron McGrath (Gold Diggers, Preppers).
Each episode will feature a host of guests, including Danielle Cormack, Meyne Wyatt, Roz Hammond, Justine Clarke, Michelle Lim Davidson, Greg Stone, Zoe Carides, Simon Lyndon and Miah Madden. Tim Rogers, lead singer of the Australian band You Am I also guest stars.
Ardal O’Hanlon, former star of Death in Paradise, reprises his role as Jack Mooney.
Return to Paradise is commissioned by ABC Australia in association with the. BBC. It is internationally distributed by BBC Studios. Season two will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the U.K.
