STV Player has acquired the rights from All3Media International to stream all 117 episodes of the Irish police soap Red Rock in the U.K.

The show, created by Peter McKenna (Kin) and executive produced by John Yorke (EastEnders), centers on the day-to-day lives of officers at the busy local Garda station in the fictional Irish seaside town of Red Rock.

In the series’ opener, local man Darren Kiely is found badly beaten on the pier, and CCTV implicates Michael Hennessy. Red Rock’s feuding families—the Kiely and Hennessys—have a bitter history, but the attack is puzzling because the Gardai had believed the rivalry had died down. When a new recruit trawls the CCTV footage for more clues, she discovers footage that suggests one of her superiors is in a relationship with an underage schoolgirl.

STV Player can be found across the U.K. on all major platforms, including Sky Q, NOW, Virgin Media, Amazon Fire TV and Freeview Play.

“From the incredible response we’ve had to relaunching Brookside, we know our viewers love a brilliantly written drama with multidimensional characters, unpredictable plot lines and just the right combination of grit and warmth, so STV Player is the perfect home for Red Rock in the U.K.,” said Richard Williams, managing director of digital at STV.

Gary Woolf, executive VP of strategic development at All3Media International, added, “We’ve seen phenomenal success in the soap genre with STV Player through the ongoing success of Brookside, and we’re excited to now give audiences the chance to lap up the stories from Red Rock shore.”
