The Israeli drama Red Lines is coming back for a second season, which will debut on Kan on June 7.

The first season doubled the channel’s prime-time ratings and overperformed in the key 25-to-54 demo, reaching half a million viewers per episode. The new season will feature eight episodes and star Chen Amsalem, Michael Aloni (Shtisel) and Tzachi Halevi (Fauda).

The legal thriller is from Israel’s Kan and Tedy Productions. It takes viewers into the complex world of the District Attorney’s office.

The format and finished tapes are distributed by Armoza Formats.

Salome Peillon, head of sales at Armoza Formats, said: “We look forward to seeing another season of this compelling legal thriller which had Israeli audiences at the edge of their seats. Through its remarkable female protagonist, Marcelle, the viewers are pulled into the complex world of the district attorney’s office, seeing the center of the country’s ethics and legal system through her unique lens and point of view.”
