Raising Dion Gets Season Two

Netflix has renewed for a second season Raising Dion, which counts Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) among its executive producers.

Raising Dion centers on Nicole (Alisha Wainwright), who is raising her son Dion (Ja’Siah Young) following the death of her husband Mark (Jordan). As Dion begins to manifest mysterious, superhero-like abilities, Nicole is tasked with keeping her son’s gifts a secret, protecting him from those out to exploit him and figuring out the origin of his abilities. Production on Raising Dion’s eight-episode second season is set to begin this year.

In addition to Jordan, Raising Dion is executive produced by Kenny Goodman, Kim Roth, Dennis Liu and Charles D. King’s MACRO. Carol Barbee is returning as showrunner for season two.
