Production Gets Under Way on Canadian Original The Disappearance

MONTREAL: CTV and Super Écran, alongside Productions Casablanca and NBCUniversal International Studios, have announced the start of production on the upcoming limited event series The Disappearance.

The new six-parter has started shooting in 4K in Montreal. It will debut as part of CTV and Super Écran’s 2016-17 mid-season schedule. The character-driven mystery drama is directed by Peter Stebbings (Defendor, Orphan Black).

Additionally, new cast members have been unveiled: Peter Coyote (E.T.) as Henry Sullivan; Aden Young (Rectify) as Luke Sullivan; Joanne Kelly (Warehouse 13) as Catherine Sullivan; Camille Sullivan (The Man in the High Castle) as Helen Murphy Sullivan; Micheline Lanctôt (Unite 9) as Susan Bowden; and Kevin Parent (Cafe de Flore) as Sergeant-Detective Charles Cooper.

NBCUniversal International Studios will act as international distributor.
