Production Begins on Finnish-Spanish Co-Pro The Paradise

The crime drama The Paradise, co-produced by Yle, Mediapro and MRP Matila Röhr Productions, has started its principal photography.

The eight-episode series has started shooting in Oulu in Finland, moving afterward to Fuengirola in Spain. Riitta Havukainen (Fakta homma, Harjunpää ja heimolaiset) stars as Hilkka, a 60-year-old detective from Oulu who travels to Spain for one last assignment to uncover the mystery of a Finnish family that has disappeared.

The dialogue is spoken in Finnish, Spanish and English. The series is slated to premiere on Yle in Finland in late 2019.
