Prime Video Orders Psychological Thriller Fear

Prime Video has ordered the new three-part psychological thriller series Fear, with Martin Compston (The Rig, Line of Duty) leading the cast.

When Compston’s character and his wife, played by Anjli Mohindra (Vigil, The Lazarus Project), move from London to Glasgow, their new home seems idyllic until their neighbor begins to make unnerving comments that turn into something far more intimidating. With authorities refusing to step in, they have nowhere to turn for help.

Alongside Compston and Mohindra, the cast includes Solly McLeod (Tom Jones, The Dead Don’t Hurt), James Cosmo (Jack Ryan, Game of Thrones), Maureen Beattie (Deadwater Fell, Our House), Daniel Portman (Black Mirror, Game of Thrones), Anneika Rose (Crossfire, Line of Duty) and Bhav Joshi (Breathtaking, The Diplomat).

Fear is being produced by Wild Mercury (The Rig, The Sixth Commandment), a Banijay UK company, and Capricorn Productions. It is written by Mick Ford (After the Flood, The Stranger), based on the book by Dirk Kurbjuweit. Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Shardlake) is director.

The production has been supported by Screen Scotland through its Broadcast Content Fund. Filming is now underway in Glasgow.

The series will debut on Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland in 2025. Banijay Rights is handling international distribution.
