Playmaker Taps New Creative Director

Rachel Gardner, formerly head of drama at See-Saw Films Australia, has been appointed as creative director of Playmaker Media.

At Playmaker, Gardner is tasked with driving and overseeing all creative aspects of the company’s scripted slate. She spent the past seven years at See-Saw Films Australia as a producer (film) and executive producer (TV) before becoming head of drama.

Playmaker recently produced the family drama Amazing Grace for Nine Network and a second season of the drama series Bloom for Stan. It is also behind the eight-part thriller The Commons, also for Stan and available on Sundance Now, and the crime thriller Reckoning, available on Seven Network in Australia and Netflix internationally.
