Paramount+ Expands Korean Drama Slate

Paramount+ has expanded its Korean content slate with two new dramas to be co-developed with TVING: A Bloody Lucky Day and Queen Woo.

The thriller A Bloody Lucky Day sees an ordinary taxi driver become entangled with a customer who turns out to be a serial killer. In the period drama Queen Woo, Korea’s King Ko Nam Moo dies, sparking a fierce battle between his brothers’ tribes and a race to marry one of them in order to inherit the throne.

A Bloody Lucky Day is directed by Pil Gam-Sung (Hostage: Missing Celebrity) and written by Kim Min-sung and Song Hanna. It is produced by CJ ENM’s production house Studio Dragon, The Great Show and Studio N and stars Lee Sung-min (Reborn Rich), Yoo Yeon-seok (Hospital Playlist) and Lee Jung-eun (Parasite, Yonder).

Queen Woo is directed by Jung Se-kyo (Oh! My Gran) and written by Lee Byoung-hak (The Royal Tailor). Jun Jong-See (Bargain) has been cast as Queen Woo.
