Operation Buffalo Set for Acorn TV

Acorn TV has picked up the rights for the award-winning Australian drama series Operation Buffalo for the U.K. and Ireland.

Operation Buffalo is written by Australian writer/director Peter Duncan (Rake) and produced by Porchlight Films’ Vincent Sheehan (The Kettering Incident, Animal Kingdom, Kiki & Kitty) and Tanya Phegan, who co-created the series with Duncan. The six-part series is a blend of espionage thriller and political satire set in the outback of South Australia amid the British atomic testing in the 1950s.

About Premium Content (APC) also licensed the series to UPC in Switzerland, RTP in Portugal, NRK TV in Norway and Viasat World for Central and Eastern European territories.
