ZDF Enterprises has sold the Nordic drama The Bridge seasons one through four to the North American SVOD platform Topic.

ZDF Enterprises has also relicensed the entire series to Australian public broadcaster SBS TV. Starring Sofia Helin, Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) and Thure Lindhardt, The Bridge has sold all across the world and has been remade five times: the U.K./France, U.S./Mexico, Estonia/Russia, Malaysia/Singapore and Germany/Austria.

Robert Franke, VP ZDFE.drama, ZDF Enterprises, said: “The Bridge is a timeless classic, a crime thriller that has captivated audiences around the world. This drama is a perfect fit for Topic which focuses on acquiring high-end, smart content for their viewers.”

“As part of our Summer of Suspense slate of intensely thrilling titles that enable you to become a detective in your own living room, The Bridge will keep our viewers on the edge of their seats with its superb storytelling and excellent casting,” said Ryan Chanatry, general manager of Topic. “We’re thrilled to be the North American home of such a cult hit and share this heart-stopping noir with our discerning audience.”
