Nicole Kidman to Star in & Exec Produce Espionage Series

Nicole Kidman is set to star in Taylor Sheridan’s new espionage thriller Lioness, which she will also executive produce for Paramount+.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, Lioness is based on a real CIA program and follows a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine who is recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.

Laysla De Oliveira stars as Cruz Manuelos, the young Marine, and Zoe Saldaña plays the station chief of the Lioness program. Kidman stars as Kaitlyn Meade, the CIA’s senior supervisor.

Additional cast members include Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Hannah Love Lanier, Stephanie Nur and Jonah Wharton.

Lioness is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone and John Hillcoat. Kidman is executive producing through her production company Blossom Films. The series is the latest addition to Sheridan’s growing slate on Paramount+, which also includes 1883, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King and 1923, as well as the upcoming series Bass Reeves and Land Man.
