Red Arrow Studios International has picked up a pair of new drama titles, including Summer Love, an anthology series from Australian producer Gristmill.

Created and directed by Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope (Upper Middle Bogan, Little Lunch), the anthology series Summer Love was produced for ABC Australia. It sees eight very different sets of people rent the same beachside holiday house, where they experience some incarnation of love.

Also joining the slate, Kid Sister is a coming-of-age series from New Zealand-based production company Greenstone TV. Kid Sister is created by Simone Nathan (Our Flag Means Death), who also stars as the lead character. The series launched on TVNZ On Demand in New Zealand earlier this year. It centers on a young Kiwi woman in her prime, but in the Jewish world, she is careening toward spinsterhood.

The titles will headline the company’s MIPCOM scripted slate, which will also feature the upcoming third season of the crime drama Vienna Blood.

Rodrigo Herrera Ibarguengoytia, senior scripted acquisitions and co-productions manager at Red Arrow Studios International, said: “With Kid Sister, the hugely talented Simone Nathan has created a hilarious and deeply personal series, which deftly navigates the joys and troubles that arise when old world meets new, while Summer Love is an uplifting, authentic and fresh drama that effectively travels across gender, class and culture. Both titles make a perfect addition to our slate of premium scripted content from around the world, and we’re looking forward to presenting them, alongside the latest installment of the gripping crime drama Vienna Blood, to partners at MIPCOM 2022.”
