New HBO Asia Original Filming in Thailand

Forbidden is a new Thai-language mystery series currently in production for HBO Asia.

Forbidden stars popular actor and singer Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram (known as JJ) and is directed by filmmaker Anucha Boonyawatana and Korean-American Josh Kim. The series follows four friends who travel from Bangkok to a remote village in the mountains for the funeral of one of the group’s estranged fathers.

Filming on the 8×1-hour series has begun in Thailand.

It joins two other HBO Asia Originals now underway: the horror series Folklore season two and action-fantasy series Halfworlds season three. Halfworlds is currently filming in the Philippines, with episodes of anthology series Folklore at various stages of production across seven different Asian countries.
