Netflix Unveils New Original Psychological Thriller for 2017

BEVERLY HILLS: Adding another original series to its lineup, Netflix has ordered ten episodes of the psychological thriller Gypsy from Universal Television, Working Title and writer Lisa Rubin.

The show will become available to Netflix members across the globe in 2017. It centers on a therapist named Jean Holloway who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives. The hour-long episodes were written by Rubin, who also executive produces along with Liza Chasin, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.

Rubin’s other upcoming projects include adaptations of the best-selling novel I Was Here by Gayle Forman for New Line and Jessica Tom’s Food Whore: A Novel of Dining and Deceit for DreamWorks.
