Netflix Slates The Diplomat Season Two

Netflix has slated the premiere of the second season of its political drama The Diplomat for October 31.

Keri Russell returns as Kate Wyler, a seasoned foreign service officer who feels more at home in a crisis zone than an upper-crust atmosphere. Season one saw her sent to London as the U.S. ambassador to the U.K. Allison Janney joins the cast for the second season.

The Diplomat’s cast also includes Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear and Ato Essandoh. Its creator and showrunner, Debora Cahn, also executive produces, alongside Russell, Janice Williams, Peter Noah and Alex Graves.

“Everything we thought we knew about the Wylers changes, as does everything they think they know about each other,” Cahn said of the second season.
