Netflix Sets Stranger Things Season Two Release

LOS GATOS: Netflix has planned a Halloween launch for the second season of Stranger Things.

Netflix debuted a Stranger Things 2 trailer as an ad during last night’s Super Bowl. The second season picks up in 1984, a year after the events of season one. While everything seems back to normal, a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins.

The 1980s-set sci-fi series was a hit for the streaming service. The first season followed the search for a young boy who vanished into thin air, an investigation that drew a group of friends into a mystery involving top-secret government experiments, supernatural forces and a very strange little girl.
