LOS ANGELES: Netflix and Warner Bros. Television are bringing a Gilmore Girls revival featuring the original lead stars, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, to the streaming service.

Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena are also set to return, as are the original executive producers, Amy Sherman-Palladino (who is the creator) and Daniel Palladino. Both are on board to write and produce the yet-to-be-titled series. The revival is also in the hands of the original production company, Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

The original dramedy about a witty mother-daughter duo living in a small Connecticut town ran for seven seasons and 153 episodes on The WB and The CW following its launch in 2000. The entire Gilmore Girls series is currently available on Netflix.

News of a possible revival first leaked last October, and construction on the sets has reportedly already begun. The first installment will be called “Winter,” with a total of four chapters corresponding with the four seasons due to run. A premiere date has not yet been set.
