Netflix has ordered ten episodes of Ginny & Georgia, a new mother/daughter coming-of-age series that will star Antonia Gentry (Candy Jar) and Brianne Howey (The Passage) in the titular roles.
Created and written by Sarah Lampert, the series will follow the angsty and awkward 15-year-old Ginny Miller (Gentry) and her 30-year-old mother Georgia Miller (Howey), who she often feels more mature than. As Georgia tries to give Ginny a more stable life in New England, Ginny finds herself navigating a new school, popularity and love interests.
Debra J. Fisher (Alias, Criminal Minds, Being Mary Jane) is the showrunner on Ginny & Georgia, which has Anya Adams (GLOW, Black-ish) directing its first two episodes. The series is filming in Toronto and is set to launch in 2020.
