Netflix Orders British Supernatural Thriller

Netflix has ordered an as-yet-untitled drama from the U.K.-based producer New Pictures.

The series is set for an initial eight episodes, created and written by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric. The drama is being produced by All3Media-owned New Pictures, led by Charlie Pattinson, Elaine Pyke and Willow Grylls. New Pictures is behind such hit dramas as The Missing (BBC One and Starz) and Indian Summers (Channel 4 and WGBH).

Farren Blackburn serves as executive producer—alongside Pattinson, Pyke and Grylls—and directs six episodes in the series. The project will be produced in the U.K. and Norway.
