Neal Street Productions Expands Development Team

Neal Street Productions (1917) has expanded its TV and film development team with the hiring of Jessica Da Silva as development coordinator and Jessica Burdett as executive producer.

Da Silva will work closely with Julie Pastor, executive producer, and Lola Olivide, head of development. Burdett will develop her own slate of projects in close collaborations with Neal Street’s company directors, Nicolas Brown, Pippa Harris and Sam Mendes.

Previously, Burdett worked at Left Bank Pictures for seven years as script executive, head of development and most recently, executive producer. She was responsible for the Netflix show Behind Her Eyes and Paramount+’s upcoming Insomnia. Before that, she was a script editor at the BBC, working across a broad range of scripts.

Da Silva most recently worked for Grey Seal Media as development coordinator, and before that, she was production coordinator at BBC Studios for Behind the Screens Film, having also worked for them as production office assistant for EastEnders. She is also part of ITV’s 2023 mentor scheme.

“We are delighted to have Jessica Burdett and Jessica Da Silva join us as we continue to grow our TV slate, alongside our film and theater production,” Harris and Brown said. “Jessica Burdett brings a wealth of experience, great taste and a stellar reputation and we are excited to start work with her, whilst Jessica Da Silva is a rising star of a new generation of talent working in development.”

“Neal Street has a rich history of quality productions which I’ve admired for many years,” said Burdett. “I’m excited to join their fold and cook up some great shows together.”
