More Broadcasters Lined Up for The Name of the Rose

TM International has sold the event series The Name of the Rose to multiple territories, including the U.K., where the BBC has come on board.

In addition to the BBC pickup, the eight-hour series will launch in 2019 on Rai in Italy, Sky in Germany, OCS in France, SundanceTV in the U.S. and Canada, YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway, DRtv in Denmark, SBS in Australia, VRT in Belgium, RTP in Portugal, Ceska TV in the Czech Republic, Sky in New Zealand and ITI in Poland. The project is based on Umberto Eco’s acclaimed novel, which has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide since it was first published in 1980.
