MOPAR Taps Roland Moore, Brendan Foley

MOPAR Studios has commissioned British scriptwriters Roland Moore and Brendan Foley to develop scripts for its drama slate.

While Moore and Foley will work on separate projects, both dramas are mystery thriller formats and tackle provocative and contemporary issues, ethics and beliefs. Moore is best known for creating BBC One’s Land Girls and was head writer and story liner on the Chinese adaptation of Humans. Foley wrote and produced the action-thriller Johnny Was and best-seller Under the Wire.

Jessica Pope, creative director of drama at MOPAR Studios, said: “Roland and Brendan are two highly-skilled writers with proven track records in developing popular, award-winning series that travel the world. Roland’s recent expertise in leading the writing team for the Chinese adaptation of Humans lends authority and insight into cyberwar thriller, while Brendan’s experience of growing up in Northern Ireland during The Troubles will be invaluable in providing an authentic voice to our European story. I have no doubt that their talent, when paired with stories on subjects at the forefront of people’s minds everywhere, should make for compelling drama that has international appeal and help MOPAR Studios realize its ambition to be a global storyteller.”
