MISTCO has signed an agreement with Azam Media Limited to bring Resurrection Ertugrul to the platform’s customers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Produced by Tekden Film, Resurrection Ertugrul is set in the 13th century and tells the story of the father of the Ottoman Empire’s founder. As Ertugrul struggles to find a home for his tribe and the woman he is in love with, the series conveys the land struggle with the Kayı tribes and Mongols and the difficulty in establishing a state.

Aysegul Tuzun, managing director at MISTCO, said: “Resurrection Ertugrul is the most successful Turkish historical series in recent years and is the most popular and watched drama distributed in many countries, across the world. It is gratifying that the interest in this historical drama is continuing, although the series has ended in Turkey and it is obvious proof how the series is strong and successful. We are confident that the introduction of Ertugrul to Azam Media platform will give more mileage to its customers and we have no doubt that it will bring great results in the territories they are in.”
