MISTCO has sold The Innocents into nine more territories in Latin America.

The new deals will bring the series to Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica and El Salvador. Produced by OGM Pictures, the series is broadcast on TRT 1 in Turkey.

Based on a true-life story and adapted for the screen from the memories of psychiatrist Gulseren Budayicioglu, The Innocents draws attention to mental health. It centers on Han, a young, handsome and charismatic businessman, who is reckoning with his family’s painful memories. He isolates himself from any social activity or joy until he meets and falls in love with Inci and begins to seek out his own happiness.

Aysegul Tuzun, managing director of MISTCO, said: “We are so proud to see that The Innocents is traveling well. What makes the drama special is it is a unique story that has never been told and the harmony between the actors. It gets the appreciation of the audiences around the world like in Turkey. We are proud to be part of such a unique project.”
