MIPCOM Spotlight: Onza Distribution

Allende, the Thousand Days is a political drama thriller on offer from Onza Distribution.

On the day of Pinochet’s coup d’état, one of the last people to see Salvador Allende alive is his adviser and friend, Manuel Ruiz, a young Spanish political scientist. When the president asks him to save his own life and tell the world what happened in Chile, he does.

The series is “produced for the 50th anniversary of Allende’s death with really high-quality production about an internationally known political figure,” says Béatrice Nouh, head of sales.

More featured titles include Flowers Over the Inferno, delving into the back alleys of a peculiar mountain town that hides a ruthless killer who defends abused children, and Sweet Strawberries, following a string of mysterious disappearances at a secondary school.

“It’s part of our expansion strategy to not be only an Iberian distributor but also an international company,” adds Nouh.
