The miniseries Manhunt, starring Martin Clunes (Doc Martin), is headed to Australia, France, the Netherlands, Poland and other international markets following a new string of deals.

DRG has licensed the three-part true-crime drama to France 3, Network Seven (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), NRK (Norway), YLE (Finland), NPO (The Netherlands), VRT (Belgium), CANAL+ (Poland) and Stöð 2 (Iceland). There is also an exclusive new deal in place with Acorn TV, covering its SVOD service in North, Central and South America, that will see the series branded as an Acorn TV Original.

Clunes stars as a detective in pursuit of a serial killer. Manhunt is written by Ed Whitmore (Silent Witness, Rillington Place) and directed by Marc Evans (Hinterland, Trauma). The series debuted this weekend on ITV in the U.K.

Elin Thomas, DRG’s executive VP of sales, commented: “Manhunt is primetime British drama at its best. Ed Whitmore has written an incredible script, sensitively covering a difficult and contentious case, while Martin Clunes gives a standout performance, reminding us just why he remains one of Britain’s favorite actors with audiences around the world. We are naturally very pleased that Manhunt has attracted significant interest early on and are confident that following its broadcast this weekend, with its anticipated excellent reviews and ratings, more deals will swiftly follow.”
