GG Precinct, a six-episode spin-off of the box office hit Marry My Dead Body, is slated to premiere on Netflix on August 22.

Directed by Cheng Wei-hao (Marry My Dead Body) and Yin Chen-hao (Man in Love), the crime-comedy series sees eccentric squad members join forces in an attempt to solve a series of bizarre murders linked to Chinese idioms. Hsu Kuang-han, Gingle Wang, Ma Nien-Hsien and Flower Chen will reprise their roles alongside a group of newcomers.

“Each idiom-inspired murder case is thoughtfully crafted by the creators, and we hope that this format of storytelling will be able to draw more people into the series,” said executive producer Jin Pai-lunn.

Chen-hao added, “GG Precinct creatively blends comedic and crime elements. By portraying absurd cases rooted in Chinese idioms, we hope to inspire a greater appreciation for language through comedy.”

Hsu commented, “While this is a spin-off series of the film, it felt more like a class reunion. It’s great to be able to get together again, and the sense of camaraderie felt a lot stronger.”

Wang said, “While Tzu-ching may have been a snitch who betrayed the squad in Marry My Dead Body, it was done to avenge her mother who was wrongfully killed by drug abusers. Tzu-ching is glad to be back at the precinct and is thankful for the warm welcome from her fellow squadmates.”
