Luther to Air on Ovation TV

Ovation TV has secured a deal with BBC Studios for the non-exclusive linear rights to Luther, starring Idris Elba, and Death in Paradise.

The deal covers four seasons of Luther, which sees Elba star as the eponymous maverick detective. Throughout the series, Luther faces a succession of psychological duels between hunter and hunted, predator and prey.

The pact also includes six seasons of Death in Paradise. The show follows Richard Poole (Ben Miller), a detective inspector in the U.K. Police, as he is transferred to the fictional Caribbean island Saint-Marie’s police department; however, he hates the sun, sea and sand. The series follow his investigations into murders on the island.
