Losing Alice’s Sigal Avin

Sigal Avin, who created, wrote and directed the erotic, psychological neo-noir thriller Losing Alice, talks to TV Drama about the inspiration for the series and her process of crafting the episodes.

Billed as an erotic, psychological neo-noir thriller, Losing Alice tells the story of an ambitious 47-year-old female film director who becomes obsessed with a 24-year-old femme fatale. She eventually surrenders all moral integrity in order to achieve power, success and unlimited relevance. The series explores issues such as guilt, jealousy, fear of aging, rage and the complex relationships between women and, above all, is a love letter for the still-too-rare female director.

Losing Alice will stream worldwide later this year exclusively on Apple TV+, thanks to a deal with Dori Media Group, and has aired on HOT in Israel.
