Lawless Entertainment to Rep Return of the Dodger

LOS ANGELES: Lawless Entertainment has been named worldwide representative for the TV project Return of the Dodger, a new take on the classic Oliver Twist story.

Lawless will handle television co-production and distribution, licensing, merchandising and publishing. The title follows the adventures of the Artful Dodger, who was a 12-year-old thief in the original Charles Dickens work. In the new project, he returns to London as an adult with a daughter.

Lawless Entertainment is currently seeking co-production partners for the Return of the Dodger project. The title is produced by U.K.-based prodco The Wickes Company.

“The Artful Dodger is one of the best-loved characters in all of literature,” said David Wickes of The Wickes Company. “So far, we have known him only as a kid. Well, now he’s a grown man. And he’s back in London—on a mission of survival.”
