John Rogers Tapped as Showrunner for The Kingkiller Chronicle

SANTA MONICA/VANCOUVER: John Rogers (The Librarians, Leverage) has come on board the TV adaptation of the best-selling fantasy books The Kingkiller Chronicle, working alongside Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Rogers’ TV credits include co-creating and showrunning the hit TNT series Leverage; creating and running TNT’s The Librarians, which is currently in its third season; and creating and executive producing last season’s NBC series The Player. Rogers is currently writing the Magnum P.I. sequel for ABC. On the film side, Rogers’ work includes Transformers, American Outlaws and Catwoman.

Lionsgate is simultaneously developing feature-film and television projects based on the iconic Kingkiller Chronicle brand. The Kingkiller Chronicle series of books and novellas has sold 10 million copies.
