Jack Irish Heads to Acorn TV

SILVER SPRING: Acorn TV has picked up the six-part thriller Jack Irish starring Guy Pearce for launch on its SVOD service this May.

The Australian series is inspired by Peter Temple’s award-winning crime novels. Season one is set to premiere on Acorn TV on May 2 with two episodes being made available. New episodes will be added every Monday till May 30.

Acorn TV has also acquired season nine of Murdoch Mysteries. The current season of the Canadian hit is airing on Ovation TV through late May, but all 18 episodes will be available for Acorn TV subscribers to access on April 25.  The Acorn brand introduced Murdoch Mysteries to American audiences in 2009 on home video and on Acorn TV since its launch in 2011.
