Into the Badlands Gets Expanded Third Season

AMC has renewed the martial arts drama Into the Badlands for a third season, which has an expanded order for 16 episodes.

The new season will premiere in 2018 exclusively on AMC in the U.S. and AMC Global in more than 125 countries. From AMC Studios, Into the Badlands is currently midway through its second season in the U.S., averaging 3.6 million viewers per episode.

Harold Gronenthal, the executive VP of programming and operations at AMC Global and SundanceTV Global, commented: “Into the Badlands has captivated audiences around the world and we’re thrilled to bring a third season to our international fan base. This extraordinarily unique and action-packed drama fits perfectly in our lineup of originals on AMC Global as we continue to expand our distribution footprint and support our pay-TV partners throughout the globe.”
