Ian Somerhalder to Star in Netflix Vampire Series

Vampire Diaries alum Ian Somerhalder is set to star in the new Netflix original series V-Wars, based on an IDW comic of the same name.

V-Wars follows Dr. Luther Swann (Somerhalder) as he tries to understand the nature of a mysterious disease that has transformed his best friend into a human-hunting predator. Netflix has ordered an initial ten episodes.

The series is based on IDW Publishing’s V-Wars franchise, written by New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry. High Park Entertainment is producing alongside IDW Entertainment.
