Video Interview: Karin Fahlén & Jonas Karlsson Talk Hostage

A sequel to Stockholm Requiem, the Swedish thriller Hostage follows as the hijacking of a passenger aircraft leads to the arrest of a Syrian academic by the Swedish intelligence agency SAPO. The story centers on those who are bent on figuring out (and covering up) the truth.

Jonas Karlsson reprises his role as Alex Recht, which he also played in the crime drama Stockholm Requiem, based on Kristina Ohlsson’s novels. Karin Fahlén returns as director.

Karlsson and Fahlén talk to TV Drama Weekly’s Mansha Daswani about returning to the characters in the six-part drama, which is distributed by Global Screen.

Hostage debuted its first two episodes on C More on February 6, with episodes to roll out weekly thereafter. The drama will have its TV4 premiere later this month.
