Hollywood Suite in Canada will launch the Israeli drama Valley of Tears on December 19.

The ten-part production, airing on HBO Max in the U.S., is inspired by the true events of the 1973 Yom Kippur War in Israel. It was first aired on the Israeli broadcaster KAN.

The series stars Lior Ashkenazi, Aviv Alush, Lee Biran, Shahar Taboch, Joy Rieger, Ofer Hayoun, Imri Biton and Maor Schwitzer (Shtisel), and was created and co-written by Ron Leshem, Amit Cohen, Daniel Amsel and Yaron Zilberman. The series is produced by WestEnd Films, United King and Endemol Israel and is currently streaming on HBO Max in the U.S.
