HBO Slates Perry Mason Premiere

Perry Mason, a new drama series starring Matthew Rhys (The Americans), is set to debut on HBO in June.

Set in 1931 Los Angeles, Perry Mason centers on the titular criminal defense lawyer who finds a fractured city and a possible pathway to personal redemption in his relentless pursuit of the truth. The series is based on the characters created by author Erle Stanley Gardner, which also inspired a CBS series starring Raymond Burr that aired in the ’50s and ’60s. Perry Mason premieres on HBO on Sunday, June 21, at 9 p.m.

In addition to Rhys, the series stars John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany, Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Stephen Root, Gayle Rankin, Nate Corddry, Veronica Falcon, Jefferson Mays, Lili Taylor, Andrew Howard, Eric Lange and Robert Patrick.
