HBO Max Orders The Girls on the Bus

HBO Max has given a straight-to-series order for The Girls on the Bus, from executive producers and writers Amy Chozick and Julie Plec.

Inspired by a chapter of Chozick’s best-selling book Chasing Hillary, the character-driven drama chronicles four female journalists who follow every move of U.S. presidential candidates while finding friendship, love and scandal along the way.

The Girls on the Bus is produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. In addition to Chozick and Plec, executive producers are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden through Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
