HBO Asia Sets Sci-Fi Original Dream Raider

HBO Asia has a new original series being added to its roster with the sci-fi drama Dream Raider.

Filmed and set entirely in Taiwan, the eight-episode Mandarin series is scheduled to premiere in 2019 on HBO GO, HBO and HBO On Demand. Its Taiwanese cast includes Vivian Hsu (The Devil Fish, Seediq Bale), David Wang (Project Gutenberg, Extraordinary Mission) and Jason Wang (GATAO 2: The New Leader Rising, Murmur of the Hearts).

Jonathan Spink, CEO of HBO Asia, said, “Following the success of our first Taiwanese drama series, The Teenage Psychic, we are looking forward to once again be working with the talented storytellers in Taiwan on a genre that we have never done before.”

He added, “Science fiction is a genre that allows for limitless creativity and I can’t wait for our audience in the region to explore the futuristic realm and unknown possibilities of ‘dream-raiding’ with us.”
