HBO Asia Anthology Invisible Stories to Air in the U.S.

HBO Asia’s new original anthology drama series Invisible Stories is set to soon make its debut in the U.S.

The six-episode half-hour series explores the triumph and tragedy of migrant workers living in Sungai Merah, one of Singapore’s public housing communities. Each episode dives into the struggles of an array of characters, ranging from a construction worker longing to create his own home to an aspiring social media influencer, a spiritualistic cab driver, and more. The series will launch in the U.S. on August 3 and will be available to stream on HBO and HBO Max.

Yeo Yann Yann (Wet Season, ILO ILO), Devin Pan, Wang Yu Qing (Hello From the Other Side, Reach for the Skies), Suchada Muller (Insect in the Backyard, The Last Executioner), Gavin Yap (The Bridge, Lion Mums 3), Sudip Biswas (Sutopar Thikana, Café 999), Sekar Sari (SITI), Regina Lim (Not So Long Time Ago, Home Is Where The Heart Is), Aden Tan (Lion Mums, Ah Boys to Men 3) and Sunny Pang (Code of Law, Fly By Night) and Rosalind Pho (HBO Asia Original Sent, Tanglin) all star.

Created by Ler Jiyuan, Invisible Stories had its world premiere at the 2019 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, and had its first two episodes, Invisible Stories: Lian and Invisible Stories: Chuan, were showcased at the 2019 Singapore International Film Festival in November.
