Circle of Confusion Television Studios will co-develop with Amazon Studios the one-hour drama Thirteen, based on the graphic novel Six.

The project will be written by and executive produced by Stefan Jaworski (Those Who Kill). Michael Dinner (Justified) will executive produce and is attached to direct. The sci-fi thriller is about a cold-blooded alien agent who comes to Earth to track down and bring back 12 alien defectors. Soon, she starts to experience the same thing that infected the others: human emotion. She decides to stay on Earth to find the truth the 12 were seeking before her own emotional awakening transforms and ultimately destroys her.

Circle of Confusion Television Studios is a joint venture between Circle of Confusion and ITV Studios America. Mike Oeming and Dan Berman, the authors of the graphic novel, will also serve as executive producers. Six is published by Image Comics.

Russ Buchholz, executive VP, head of creative affairs at Circle of Confusion Television Studios, said: “Thirteen exemplifies the quality of character-driven genre series that we’re currently developing. Stefan’s compelling vision captivated us from the start. We couldn’t be more excited to announce Amazon Studios as our production partner and to be working with such incredible talents behind the camera.”
