Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer Joins New Penny Dreadful Series

Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) has been cast in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, the next chapter in the Showtime saga.

Dormer will play Magda, a supernatural demon who can take the appearance of anyone she chooses and manifests in a number of guises throughout the story. The character is described as “charismatic, clever and chameleonic,” one who is both a dangerous enemy and an invaluable ally.

Production on the drama series, set in Victorian-era London, is expected to begin later this year.
