Gale Anne Hurd Working on New Drama with Spike TV

NEW YORK: Spike has aligned with Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions to develop the drama series Pendergast, with Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead) attached as an executive producer.

John McLaughlin (Black Swan) is set as writer and executive producer. Pendergast is based on the best-selling novels Relic and Cabinet of Curiosities by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. The story follows Aloysius Pendergast, an eccentric special agent with the FBI, and is set in a contemporary version of gothic New York City.

Sharon Levy, the executive VP of original series; Ted Gold, the senior VP of scripted original series; and Lauren Ruggiero, senior director of scripted original series, will oversee the project for Spike.
