FX’s Shōgun Sets New & Returning Cast for Season Two

FX’s Shōgun has announced its returning stars and expanded its cast and crew for season two.

Hiromi Kamata and Takeshi Fukunaga will return as directors and be joined by Anthony Byrne, Kate Herron and Justin Marks. New cast members include Asami Mizukawa, Masataka Kubota, Sho Kaneta, Takaaki Enoki and Jun Kunimura.

Returning cast members are Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, Fumi Nikaidô, Shinnosuke Abe, Hiroto Kanai, Yoriko Dôguchi, Tommy Bastow, Yuko Miyamoto, Eita Okuno and Yuka Kouri.

The writers on season two are Rachel Kondo, Justin Marks, Shannon Goss, Matt Lambert, Maegan Houang, Emily Yoshida, Caillin Puente and Sofie Somoroff.

Season two of Shōgun is set ten years after the events of the first season and continues the saga of two men from different worlds whose fates are intertwined.

Production of season two begins in January in Vancouver. The series will stream exclusively on Disney+.
