French Toast Films Launches in Canada

Dominic Ewenson has launched French Toast Films, a full-service Canadian production company focused on scripted content.

The venture’s debut project is Lice, a service production for ActionPark Media. The firm has a slate of features and series in development across comedy, romance and horror.

Ewenson has produced 22 films and a range of commercials. Projects in development at French Toast Films include Carollers’ Crossing, the ten-part Financially Fabulous and the rom-com Shared Spaces.

“Filmmaking should be fun, creative and collaborative, but is so often slowed down by industry barriers and red tape,” Ewenson said. “French Toast Films was born from the belief that filmmaking doesn’t have to follow the old rules. We’re proving every day that you can challenge industry norms, support talent and still deliver world-class results.”
