PARIS: Sydney Gallonde is launching his newly formed independent production company, Make it Happen Studio, at MIPCOM.

The venture received financial backing from Alliance Entreprendre, a private-equity subsidiary of Natixis group. Make it Happen Studio will work with global broadcasters, partners and talent to produce a raft of premium drama for both the French and international marketplaces. Gallonde already has an established track record in producing high-end drama. In 2014, he adapted Harlan Coben’s best seller No Second Chance for TF1. To date, the series has sold to more than 64 countries and to Netflix worldwide.

Gallonde said: “Make it Happen Studio is an exciting new venture for me. Thanks to my financial partners, I am able to start this new adventure with the necessary resources to support my ambitions. I am an avid viewer of TV drama so want to be able to express myself creatively to make content that I know viewers across the globe will want to watch.”

Antoine Bodet, partner at Alliance Entreprendre, added: “European channels and platforms require exclusive and premium content—Sydney’s talent and past achievements have convinced us that he is the man to develop and create premium series and projects on an international scale.”
