French Crime Drama Murder in… Heads to Japan

The Murder in… crime collection, produced for France 3, has been picked up in Japan and Latvia, among other markets.

Film & Picture TV Distribution secured the worldwide rights for 15 90-minute crime movies, each of which features a murder that is linked to a well-known legend related to a famous location in France. The buying agent NEP licensed nine episodes for the Japanese AXN Mystery Channel, where installments are being aired weekly in a 10 p.m. slot.

Meanwhile, an Asian SVOD platform bought 11 episodes of the collection. The Latvian public channel LTV picked up seven episodes to air Fridays in a prime-time slot on LTV1.

Deals were previously lined up with the Italian public channel Rai TV, Spain’s Antena 3 and Swiss RTS.
