Frances Conroy Joins Spike’s The Mist

NEW YORK: Frances Conroy, known for her work on Six Feet Under and American Horror Story, has signed on to star in The Mist, the adaptation of the Stephen King novella for Spike.

Produced by TWC-Dimension Television, The Mist goes into production this summer for a 2017 air date. Conroy plays Nathalie, billed as a “modern-day ecological martyr,” in a small town where a mysterious mist is creating havoc.

Conroy played Ruth Fisher on HBO’s Six Feet Under, a role for which she received a Golden Globe and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also featured in four seasons of American Horror Story: Murder House, Asylum, Coven and Freak Show. She currently stars in Hulu’s Casual.
