FMI Boosts Scripted Acquisitions Team

FremantleMedia International (FMI) has promoted Rebecca Dundon to director of scripted acquisitions as it looks to expand its roster of third-party relationships with writers and producers in the U.K., EMEA and Asia Pacific.

In addition to establishing and maintaining relationships with outside talent to expand the FMI scripted slate, Dundon will work with the FremantleMedia network of producers to identify, develop and finance titles with global appeal. She has been with the company since 2015, joining as senior acquisitions manager for scripted content from Shine International.

FMI has also appointed Anthony Patton as content acquisition executive, reporting to Dundon. He joins from ITV Studios Global Entertainment and will assist Dundon in identifying projects for FMI to distribute and managing relationships with talent.

Jens Richter, CEO of FMI, noted, “Over the past few years, Rebecca has established an impressive range of relationships with top scripted producers, displayed dynamic negotiating skills and demonstrated an aptitude well inclined in recognizing programming that delivers against our acquisitions strategy. With the addition of Anthony in our U.K. team, and our U.S. acquisitions team continuing to source content from North America, we’re in a great position to grow our scripted slate to meet the demand of our clients.”
